Welcome to Heaps of Firsts where we focus on the excitement of Early Childhood Education where children are experiencing so many of their firsts.

Heaps of Firsts was born through my love of providing teachers with meaningful resources that engage their learners. Learning should be joyful, engaging, and fun – for both students and teachers. My resources are designed to help you hit your curriculum outcomes with ease, while keeping the fun and excitement alive for your learners.

My name is Kaitlyn Leurer and we have recently moved from Rural Saskatchewan to the Albertian Foothills. I have been a primary school teacher for the last twelve years, most of which have been spent in grade one…my absolute favourite! I am a teacher, a TPT Author, and most importantly, I am a mom to two beautiful boys! I love spending time outdoors—whether I’m hiking, biking, or out for a walk. At home, you’ll often find me baking fresh bread, crafting or creating in some sort of way, or setting up sensory bins for my boys and watching them explore, create, and grow.
